Recycling Services provides students with opportunities to be employed in positions that encourage sustainable behavior. Collection and labor accomplished through student workers. Bridgewater State University depends on student employees in order to operate a full-scale recycling program in all buildings on campus year-round.

Promotion and Awareness
Student Marketing Coordinator promotes Recycling Services and creates awareness of program and services via social media, signage, promotional events and programs.
External Collections
Students operate the rack body truck and are responsible for the daily pickup of Recycling Stations and 96-gal bins "Ottos" throughout the campus. All materials are brought to the Operations Center Transfer Site for disposal into the appropriate containers.
Internal Collections
Students collect mixed paper from administrative buildings and offices. They take the recyclables to a storage area within that building and place the items into Ottos for External Collections to pick-up.
