Recycling Program
The Recycling Program provides students with opportunities to be employed in positions that encourage sustainable behavior. All collection and labor is accomplished through student workers. Bridgewater State University depends on student employees in order to operate a full-scale recycling program in all buildings on campus year round.

Waste Management
The Waste Management Office oversees the Recycling Program and is responsible for collecting, disposing, managing and monitoring of waste and recyclable materials generated by the University. The Recycling Program operates in an effort to substantially reduce the amount of waste disposed in landfills, lower the cost of waste removal, and protect the environment by encouraging, educating, and participating in activities that promote reduction and reuse.

Recycling Bins
For mixed clean paper and plastic/metal/glass are located throughout the BSU campus in residence halls, academic buildings, administrative offices, and common areas. Faculty and staff offices are provided blue desk bins for paper and are welcome to designate a box or trash can for recycling plastic/metal/glass.
